CypressFest: 3rd Annual TCC

Date: September 25-26, 2026

Location: Cypress Lawn Arboretum and Memorial Park at Colma, CA

Women are encouraged to attend this immersive, 2-day learning experience designed to invite climbing arborists into the world of competition climbing and prepare them for the WCISA Tree Climbing Championship.

WTCW® – Experienced Tree Climbing Workshop

Date: November 6-8, 2026

Location: Emerald Bay at Catalina Island, CA

We are excited to announce our new partnership with Women’s Tree Climbing Workshop® for bringing the highest quality climbing instruction and experiences to our Chapter.

To kick things off, WTCW® has created an Experienced Tree Climbing Workshop for women who are looking to hone their skills with other accomplished climbers.

Unlike most WTCW® 3-Day Events, this one is for women who already possess a foundation in climbing and can bring their own climbing gear.

Women in Arboriculture at WCISA 92nd Annual Conference & Trade Show

Location: Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite – Fish Camp, CA

Women in Arboriculture Gathering was held to kick-off the conference and provide a space for women to meet-and-greet with old friends and new, hopefully creating connections that would support women’s conference experience and beyond.

WIA Women and Allies Lunch Table was provided for women and allies to gather, share about their conference experience, find support and encouragement, learn about the committee, or just meet new people.

PARTNER EVENT – ACTC WIA Women’s Climbing Experience

Date: May 8, 2026

Location: Flagstaff, AZ

One of our partner organizations, Arizona Community Tree Council (ACTC), hosted a one-day Women’s Climbing Experience. The goal was to provide a safe and positive environment with hands-on instruction for learning or improving climbing basics. New climbers and those with prior experience were all welcome.

WIA Breakfast Panel – Work/Life Balance

Date: May 5, 2022

Location: 88th Annual WCISA Conference in Oakland, CA

Explored what work/life balance looks like for each of us, strategies to achieve it, and how real or perceived work/life balance difficulties act as barriers to recruitment, retention, and advancement of women in the tree care industry. People of all genders were welcome at this event.
